Triad Festival Singers was formed as a choral singing group in the fall of 2023. Some of the singers from the retiring Piedmont Chamber Singers were intent to continue singing together. Auditions were held, the group assembled and began anew as the Triad Festival Singers.
This is a new group with some of the old DNA of PCS. In its first season, the group proved they could draw an audience, deliver engaging concerts, and have a lot of fun doing it. Each season (fall and winter) the group holds new auditions providing singers a shorter term commitment of time. This flexibility has been embraced by the singers and the artistic staff and promises a new season of engaging choral singing.
“To enrich the community through innovative, engaging, and compelling choral performances that feed both the intellect and the soul.”
TFS will perform music of varying styles and genres, from classical and contemporary masterworks to individual accompanied and a capella choral works. Composers will range from Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Rutter, Forrest, and more!
